India's IT Act - 2000 

The cyber laws adopted by India in accordance with UN law is Known as the Act 2000. 

The Information Technology Act, 2000 (also known as the ITA-2000, or IT Act) promulgated by  Indian Parliament on 17 October 2000. 

This is the primary law in India dealing with cybercrime and electronic Commerce. 

The rules apply all over India. If a crime involves a computer or network located in India, persons of other nationalities may also be prosecuted by law.
